The Philharmonic is the Association’s second most senior ensemble; a full symphony orchestra dedicated to developing orchestral technique and musicianship through the rehearsal and performance of the classics and contemporary music from the repertoire.

The Philharmonic is a full symphony orchestra and the ideal developmental group for young musicians who wish to be future members of the WA Youth Orchestra. Under the direction of leading conductors, the Philharmonic will perform in multiple venues throughout the year, including one of Australia’s premier concert venues, Perth Concert Hall. Through the use of challenging and engaging repertoire the Philharmonic provides a supportive and nurturing environment for the next generation of young musicians.
